Silvershell Inn has a unique and rich history, that dates back to the First Congregational Church of Sippican, decades before the town of Marion was incorporated. The home was built in 1799 for Reverend Oliver Cobb, and his descendants lived on the property until the mid-20th century. The home is filled with history and antique furniture from China and Europe. The Innkeepers Jean and George have New England ancestors that go back to the Mayflower, Revolutionary War, Civil War, and WWII. Their parents both are WWII veterans, so they have a true understanding and admiration for today’s veterans! They both love to engage in conversation with patrons about the home and all the history behind it! The home has 3 beautiful rooms each with a private bathroom. The entire third floor encompasses the Marion Family suite, which is perfect for a family of 5-6.
You will also enjoy sharing the gracious living and dining rooms, sunporch, and outside patio spaces with other guests. Each morning you will be served with a delicious cooked-to-order breakfast! Our custom breakfasts are prepared in a certified "Safe-Serve" kitchen. After booking, guests should call 508-299-9810 to select their breakfast menu and indicate any food allergies.
