Treat yourself or your group to a one-of-a-kind learning experience at Fossil Rim! Whether it’s exploring the great outdoors or conducting hands-on experiments, our interactive programs are the perfect way to discover, understand, and engage with the world around us.

It’s Conservation Up-Close. Located halfway through your drive at the Overlook, you’ll find Animal Discoveries. View and compare the behavior of domestic species like sheep and goats with both native and exotic animals like tortoises and black-footed cats. Take extra time with some of the species we’re helping to save in the wild through our conservation breeding initiatives. Before you go, make sure to head around the side of the building past the outdoor section of the animal enclosures. There you'll find the Texas Trail, a short hiking path. Go a little farther and you'll reach Mark's Nature Trail, a short, easy walking trail with a reading nook at the center. https://fossilrim.org/conservation/conservation/
