The Land of Jubilee Bed & Breakfast, located in Morley, MI was started in the historic home formerly owned by Nelson Higbee.

This history of Nelson Higbee is a interesting one! He was born on January 6, 1822, in Madison County, New York. He migrated to Michigan in 1854 and settled in Mecosta County. He played a significant role in the development of the county and the establishment of the city of Big Rapids. Nelson Higbee was involved in various business ventures, including farming, lumbering, and real estate. He became a prominent and influential citizen in the community. Higbee held various positions of public trust, serving as a justice of the peace, supervisor, and county treasurer.

Today, you will find the home with character, history, and beauty that provides a warm and inviting atmosphere. We look forward to offering you one of our private rooms which includes the use of a large sitting room, library, and dining room. Our motto here is “Come as guests, leave as friends”. This means we will honor your right to privacy yet be here to show you around the farm and hook you up with amenities if you like.
